Oliver Lee Benson, 76, originally from Little Rock, AR, passed away February 2, 2026.
Oliver is preceded in death by his Mother, Ruthie Benson, Brother, Ricky Chalk Sr., Sister, Peggy Sims Johnson and his grandparents, Mary and Nathaniel Benson, Sr., that helped raise him.
He leaves to cherish his wife, Kathaleen “KAT” Benson, Sister, Phyllis Payne (Dwight) Porsche, Children, Brian Benson of Houston, TX, Shanika Benson of St. Louis, MO, Keith Benson of Little Rock, AR, and LeKeith (Maribel) Artis of FL.
Oliver has 6 grandchildren, extended family and friends that will miss him dearly.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, February 23, 26 at 11:00 a.m. at Ruffin and Jarrett Funeral Home.

I had the privilege of working with Benson at Delta, and I always looked forward to the times we could share stories from our travels. He truly loved the freedom and sunshine that came with every adventure. I will miss seeing him and exchanging those stories. He will be deeply missed.
I had the chance to work with him for several years becoming great friends. I always liked it when we would get of work and would meet up and fishing on the river. He will be missed.
May the family take refuge in the Lord ; may His right hand keep you lifted. We too mourn the loss of our friend an d classmate, but the “memories” of Oliver will live on.
