    • Some encouraging passages:: Hosea: 13: 14 says From the power of the Grave I will redeem them; from death I will recover them. Where I will recover them. Where is your destructiveness, O Grave? Jehovah will bring our dead ones back to life. Read Isaiah 25:8..

  • It is with great sadness that I express my condolences to the entire family of Cathy Smith. She was one in a million.
It was such an honor and a pleasure to have known Cathy. I had the pleasure of working with her at Gibbs Magnet School for a number of years. Through the years and life circumstances I came to know her like a daughter. She always demonstrated warmth , love and a caring spirit for others and especially for children. I could depend on her whenever I needed an extra hand or to fill in the gaps on a daily basis. She was such a willing and hardworking comrade. I can still see her in my mind’s eye commanding a room of 300+ students without a loud voice and yet, making the space a quiet,
    safe and warm environment.
She had such wonderful class and walked with grace. Cathy loved putting her matching outfits together and she always had it together. Others expressed that about her often too.
Cathy loved, loved , loved her family and always would share milestones in their lives. She was so in love with her grandchildren.
Cathy, fought a good fight with incredible courage. She was a phenomenal woman of faith. I will always cherish the memories I shared with her. She was a beautiful lady inside and outside. I will miss her. She has gone home to be with our Lord and Savior however, she will never be forgotten by those that loved her.
